First Private Wind Turbine Installed in Louisiana

Waring Architects is proud to announce the installation of the very first pair of privately-owned, residential, grid-tied, wind turbine, electrical cogeneration units in the States of Louisiana or Mississippi.

The property will feature two SkyStream wind turbine generators with 12 foot diameter blades mounted on 45 foot tall, high strength steel utility posts. The two SkyStreams together, given an average estimated wind speeds of 12 mph available on the site according to National Weather Service statistics, will conservatively generate approximately 800 kWh per month.   We believe that the wind speed estimate averages are low and that the systems may well provide all of the electricity we require.   Time will tell.   Obviously, we will be monitoring this closely.
